With much hard work in horrendous conditions, and loyalty of those customers in the early days we saw the winter through. That summer we erected the school and managed to make a path from the entrance all the way up to the school, it was heaven! Over the next year stables were erected and the floors concreted. The land around the stables was so rough we had to carry the concrete in buckets to the stables. One lad who helped us earned the name "Mungo" because his arms appeared to grow 6 inches with the weight of the buckets. |
