Family show
Our family show last year was a great success and we are already taking bookings for spring picnic rides and B.B.Q's. Keep watching our diary for forthcoming events and updates on our summer camp which is hopefully taking place at the end of August.
Fun activities
It is now very popular to hold your birthday party here with the ponies, have your own gymkhana, picnic ride or B.B.Q, or if you prefer"Own A Pony" for a day with friends.
Beoley Equestrian Centre has much to offer and you are welcome
to come along to meet us and see our amenities.
We are used by
some schools in the area and would be prepared to organize a package to
suit the needs of your school and the demands of the National
Curriculum.
How we started
When we bought the land on which Beoley Equestrian Centre Limited is
based we did not expect it to grow at the rate it did. We already had a
small clientele of pupils and 5 horses, but the area we bought seemed
excessively large for such a small outfit. However, it was so perfectly
positioned we just had to have it.
The first winter made us
wonder if we had done the right thing. As the land lies very low, mud
became a severe problem We had to invest in a JCB to make a track to
even get onto our land. Within 12 months we had worn it out with the
amount of work it did and had to replace it.
With much hard work
in horrendous conditions, and loyalty of those customers in the early
days we saw the winter through. That summer we erected the school and
managed to make a path from the entrance all the way up to the school,
it was heaven! Over the next year stables were erected and the floors
concreted. The land around the stables was so rough we had to carry the
concrete in buckets to the stables. One lad who helped us earned the
name "Mungo" because his arms appeared to grow 6 inches with the weight
of the buckets.
The premises improved daily and we still try and
improve them all the time. The riding lessons increased at an alarming
rate and we had to buy more horses and employ staff. Our aim from day
one has been to give good quality tuition in a friendly environment. As
the business has expanded we have maintained this aim and feel we have
achieved it.
Why not come and look around and see what we have to
offer. Either ourselves or our friendly staff will be delighted to see
you. Please remember we are closed Wednesdays. If you require directions
or any more information please do not hesitate to contact us.
